Hospitality and Tourism Management
The objective of the program is to equip students for the demands of senior management in the tourism, hospitality and corporate event industries.Students receive individualised attention and the curriculum focuses on the strategic business development of hospitality and tourism organisations. Core subjects include international strategy and marketing,international food and beverage concept development, international tourism development, strategies for evaluating management decisions, MICE management (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events), career planning and development.
The primary objective of the Hospitality and Tourism Management program is to provide educated professionals for an industry that will:
- Develop the local tourism infrastructure in a way that is sustainable and environmentally sensitive
- Create employment opportunities
- Help reduce Papua New Guinea's dependence on foreign resources
Upon the successful completion of the program, LCU students will be awarded a double diploma:
-Lebanese delivered by the Lebanese Canadian University - LCU
-Swiss, granted by the "Ecole Hôtelière de Genève" (EHG) one of the top ten schools worldwide.
LANGUAGES OF INSTRUCTION
The program is offered in French and/or in English.
Three years (105 credits)
Part-time, day and evening class courses
2 semesters per academic year : Fall and Spring (summer courses are optional.)
-Lebanese Baccalaureate or its equivalent degree
-Accredited Freshman (programs available at LCU)
-The consent of the University’s Academic Advisory Committee after studying the applicant’s school file
REQUIRED ADMISSION DOCUMENTS
•3 recent passport-size photos;
•A photocopy of the National Identity Card or a recent Personal Civil Status Record (or a photocopy of the passport for foreign applicants);
•A certified photocopy of a recent Family Civil Status Record (for Lebanese nationals only);
•An attestation from the National Social Security Fund or its equivalent, if applicable;
•A certified copy of the Lebanese Baccalaureate or its equivalent issued by the Ministry of Higher Education;
•A copy of the official transcripts, certified by the school of origin, for the last three years of secondary school;
•A certified copy of the official transcripts of any prior university study, if applicable;
Documents must be prepared in French or in English; if not, they must be accompanied with certified French or English translations made at the university, except for the Family Civil Status Record and the attestation from the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
