Faculties and programs
The Lebanese Canadian University - LCU aims to provide top notch education, closely linked to the real needs of Lebanon and the region, mainly the Gulf countries, through its Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programs. The latter lead to diplomas of international caliber which are accredited by official decrees, by the Lebanese Ministry of Higher Education.
The university has 1500 students, 150 professors and 75 administrative staff members. It encompasses four faculties:
A- Faculty of Business Administration
The Faculty of Business Administration equips students with the fundamentals of business and leadership in local and international markets. This cutting edge knowledge will be the threshold to higher business levels coupled with immense opportunities to white-collar jobs.
The Faculty has already established an outstanding reputation, based not only on the academic involvement of its students, the value of its diplomas, but also on its flexibility towards candidates wishing to achieve or round off their education in the business administration arena.
Most of the diplomas granted by the Faculty are offered in partnership with leading international universities such as University of Bordeaux (UBx) - France, University of Jean Monnet Saint-Etienne (UJM) - France, École Hôtelière de Genève (EHG) - Switzerland, and Institut des Professions des Affaires et du Commerce (IPAC) - France.
It should be noted that LCU was the first to launch the Executive MBA and the Research MBA in Lebanon for all majors, in addition to the introduction of the Doctorate in Business Administration - DBA.
B- Faculty of Arts and Science
Choosing LCU for your education in the field of sciences means being nestled in the heart of a new campus equipped with modern laboratories, and profiting from new information and communication technologies as your learning tools. It also means being confident that your education is firmly grounded in the employment or research environments.
In fact, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences enables its students to explore a wide range of academic fields thanks to its dynamic programs that help them acquire and develop their research abilities at the pace of the rapid evolution of technology.
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences is home to eight undergraduate programs and four graduate programs.
C- Faculty of Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering offers a learning environment that focuses on excellence, innovation, ethics as well as an exceptional sense of responsibility towards society.
The Faculty provides its students with cutting-edge education that leads them to brilliantly practice their profession and follow senior study programs in their field. The Faculty also favors a human vision of engineering and the development of technical skills in order to better meet the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s society.
The Faculty of Engineering offers three undergraduate programs and three graduate programs.
D- Faculty of Humanities
The Faculty of Humanities aims at awakening students’ appreciation of the word itself and of the importance of precision in journalism, communication, translation and diplomatic studies.
Ambitious and open to the world, its cultures and differences, the Faculty’s programs have been designed to meet the challenges of a constantly evolving marketplace.
The Faculty of Humanities runs a range of four undergraduate programs and one graduate program offered in partnership with the Center of Diplomatic and Strategic Studies (CEDS) - France.
A- Campus in Aintoura - Kesrouan - Lebanon
The plot of land on which the Aintoura campus is build extends to 10,618 m2 spanning 3500 m2 of offices, 20 000 m2 of classes, 3000 m2 of parking and 8000 m2 sports area. All the premises of the campus comply with relevant up to date standards and are in accordance with the laws of construction and urban planning.
B- Campus in Hadat - Beirut - Lebanon
As a basic commitment, LCU is active in the preservation of the environment and heritage, an issue that has been for some years a global challenge equivalent to responsibility towards future generations.
In its new campus in Hadat, which comprises 4000 m2 of offices, 20 000 m2 of classrooms, 10 000 m2 of parking and 5000 m2 sports area, and as pioneer in the Middle-East, LCU is getting the PLATINUM LEED certification, which ensures that the contractor and the designers have made the necessary efforts to reduce the ecological footprint of buildings during and after conception. In addition to reducing the environmental weight of the structure, certification is intended to confer optimal health to building occupants as regards to the quality of water, air, ergonomics, space and time.
LCU maintains, on the international level, academic relations with leading foreign universities through partnership agreements.
That close cooperation between our academic authorities and that of our partners is embodied in the double diplomas that crown most of our programs.
This choice represents at the same time a guarantee of quality and adaptability for the graduates, as well as for Lebanese, regional and international companies that recruit them.
